I stayed at this little cute place in Dunsmuir, CA (in #5) with my daughter and it was just so cozy! This little town is nestled in a river canyon, ,and is close to all the recreatioin we could think of. They had the perfect rate for the weekend, and the weekly rate is even better, so we're planning on coming for a week in the summer. Your own private little apartment without noisy people in the halls and eating breakfast wit you...priceless!! We loved it! Thank you Roger for your attentive hospitality!! Definitely going back to this place!
Don't expect luxury (again, the price is low); the building is quite old and in need of some aesthetic repairs, but everything works. I would stay there again.
Love this super cozy lodge! My husband and I have had the most wonderful stay here at Amma's Lodge. It was perfect for our little family. Nice furnishings in a cozy atmosphere, nestled in the mountain among the trees ..and our one year old took his first step upon those hardwood floors. Amma's lodge will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thanks, Roger!
The cottage was reasonably-priced, the kitchen stocked with appliances, pots, dishes, etc. It is small, but cozy. The owner helped me get my car out of the middle of a snowstorm, and the manager came by one evening just to see how I was doing: very personal.
These apartments are spacious, quiet, and convenient to Mt. Shasta. They are also a great value, but not for those used to the upscale motel. They are rustic and lived in. The owner is friendly and helpful. My wife and I enjoyed our week long stay.
It is a Godsend to come up to the mountains and get away from it all. I escaped the rush and anxieties of the city and now reside in a small historic mountain town. I have the pleasure to be safe and secure and warm in my own little private environment at Amma’s Lodge. The Dunsmuir area provides clean air and clean drinking water. You can cook your own your food here. By walking out the front door, I find nature’s textures all around. The historic town and the Sacramento River and the railroad are all within a short drive.
