It's a lovely old antique store. I saw typewriters and Star Trek dolls in their original packaging. It's beautiful and soothing.

Need somewhere to escape from the heat in Dunsmuir? Or perhaps its winter and you need to escape the cold! Either way, I think this spot is worth a gander. The lady behind the counter was friendly without being overly-attentive (in the “I’ve got my eye on you” kind of way). I wasn’t in the market to buy anything but I found a few things of interest, from Star Trek Next Generation figures (Beverly Crusher, anyone?) to their old typewriters.
I’m also giving them 5/5 “green stars” for social and environmental impact, based on the fact that they are putting old things to good use. They have a wide selection of items that have been repurposed (for example, as light fittings) or restored (e.g., furniture). Saves them from being dumped in landfills and avoids new stuff having to be made. It’s a family-run business and I like the fact that they each apply their talent or interest in different ways (textiles, electricals, furniture, etc.). Kind of like a family of recycling super-heroes: The Repurposers!
