Delicious sandwiches on homemade bread. Right off 1-5. Super friendly folks in a really rural community.
The atmosphere is like an old time general store. Everyone is treated like family. The deli is amazing.
I searched from Redding to Shasta for a Gas station with a can I could borrow or buy but the only place that had one was Manfredi's. (Though Keith's Towing in Redding would bring me 5 gal. for $350 + the price of the gas)
Best ribs I ever had on the weekends. My favorite stop on my way up to Portland. The ribs are super tasty and fall off the bone while you drive. Like heaven! Been 12 years since I have had them but I recommend trying them whenever you can. God, I'm craving them right now. Eat well!

Thanks to the very friendly and helpful CHP dispatcher for the area I got a ride with a helpful and friendly officer from the CHP to Dunsmuir. When we got to Manfredi's I discovered that the owners son had brought his own can and offered me a ride back to the car. (He said $20 would cover it but I gave him an extra $10 and felt like a cheapskate)
When I got back to Manfredi's I was told since there was no place open to stay the night we were welcome to sleep/camp in the parking lot.
One of the best Delis in Northern California and phenomenal BBQ on Fridays. If I'm in the area or passing through and needing a meal, this is my go to spot. Highly recommend it.
I found Manfredi's when I ran out of gas 20 miles or so from Dunsmuir just at dark. It was about 20 degrees and falling.
